Calvin Joseph

Biography

Calvin Daniel Adrian Joseph is a PhD candidate at the University of Canberra. His research focuses on developing real-time artificial intelligence systems for objective pain assessment using non-invasive multimodal physiological sensing. He holds a Master of Data Science in Artificial Intelligence and Computational Modelling and a Bachelor of Engineering (Network and Software Engineering) with First Class Honours from the University of Canberra.

Calvin has contributed to several multidisciplinary research projects involving physiological sensing, time-series analysis, signal processing, and machine learning for healthcare applications. His research interests include multimodal biosignal analysis, computer vision, deep learning, explainable AI, and predictive modelling of pain and cognitive workload. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in these areas and actively contributes to the development of intelligent healthcare technologies and international AI benchmarking initiatives
